Nah, this was -originally- gonna be a doodle, like sketchy, messy, maybe flat colors with a few highlights, but I ended up putting several hours into it to make it nicer and try some shading stuff. I'd never call that much effort a doodle, lol.

Besides, it doesn't really matter how long it takes me or anyone else to make a pic, you should primarily use yourself as a comparison. If it takes 8 hours to make a drawing, try to pick apart what part of your process is slowing you down and see if you can bring it down to 7 hours. Keep doing that over and over, a little bit at a time, and you'll improve.
